World Of Warcraft Race Tips

In today's article we are going to discuss the differences between the Alliance Human and Horde Forsaken races. What are the strengths, abilities and classes each of the respective races can be? Glad you asked...

The Alliance Human race begins their World of Warcraft exploration in Elwynn Forest. They call the Capital city of Stormwind home and prefer to travel the world on their trusty horse mounts. The Humans were generally a group of roaming tribes until the Orcs arrived and the First War began. After Stormwind was destroyed, a council of 7 brought all the separate city states together to finally unify the Human race. The Humans have 8 playable classes; Hunter, Death Knight, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior. The Humans receive bonuses to Diplomacy, Spirit, Speed Effects and Swords/Maces. Below are the Human racial abilities and their full descriptions;

Everyman for Himself- Humans can shake off speed altering and trapping effects.

Diplomacy- The straightforward and outspoken humans tend to get along well with other races and gain their trust with relative ease.

The Human Spirit- Humans are known for their indomitable spirit and receive a slight bonus to their spirit attribute.

Sword and Mace Specialization- Few things exemplify the humans' strength and grace quite like their weapons of choice.

The Forsaken, better known as the Undead are a Horde race located in Tirisfal Glades. The fallen Humans were transformed into the Scourge after being killed during the Second War. The Forsaken finally gained independence from the Lich King during the Third War, where they were lead by Sylvanas Windrunner to the ruins of the old Capital city of Lorderan to form the Undercity. The Forsaken travel on the Skeletal Horse and have 7 playable classes; Warlock, Priest, Hunter, Death Knight, Mage, Warrior and Rogue. The racial abilities of the Forsaken include Shadow Resistance, Charm/Sleep dispel, Underwater Breathing and Health Restoration. Below the full descriptions are provided;

Will of the Forsaken- The Forsaken can shake off any charm, fear and sleep effects at will.

Shadow Resistance- The Forsaken have a natural resistance to Shadow magic.

Cannibalize- One rather grisly means for the Forsaken to replenish their health is by consuming dead bodies.

Underwater Breathing- The Forsaken's undead bodies need less air than those of the living, allowing them to hold their breath longer.

Comparing the abilities of both of these unique and history filled races provides us with no real direction on which Race is truly better. Aside from 1 more playable class on the Human side, the two are very balanced. I think personally the additional 10% bonus to reputation gains is wonderful and hard to pass up. However, once you are reputation capped, the racial bonus then loses its usefulness.

As with most things in the World of Warcraft, there never really is a 100% correct answer. Enjoy the game the way you see fit. Choose something you find fitting for your style of play and something you find interest in. If you do not enjoy the race you are playing, if you do not enjoy the history of your character, you will be hard pressed to enjoy everything the World of Warcraft has to bring! I hope you find this information useful and look forward to another world of Warcraft race comparison next week!
