Taking a look into the World of Warcraft, we have seen that this game has become more difficult than it used to be. With the release of the cataclysm expansion, standard mobs can have up to 90,000 hp each at level 85, this is from the standard 14,000-15,000 hp at level 80 So, one of the most important tools, due to the difficulty level of the games, is the World of Warcraft Quest Helper Add-on. These add-ons, when introduced initially, used to be a bit cumbersome. Talking about the older add-ons that we used to have, sometimes, seemed to be a hassle and they weren't anywhere near as much help as they should of been, as they where all in pdf format, and had no in game support at all. The main aim of having an add-on is to save the time, which is why, I think, we need them right?

The add-ons developed for World of Warcraft have become a long way. Initially, at the time of first launch, they used to be in the form of e-books which provided much better information as compared to the Blizzards in the game. Although this was a really good option for a lot of people but the main problem with these e-books was that every time we needed to know about the steps and the techniques for advancement in the game, one needed to press the combination of ALT+TAB to get out and back into the game. The other option was to print these add-ons but that is something which is still really expensive for almost all of us to do. Every time blizzard released a new patch to their game, you would have to wait for the guide to be updated again, and some of the changes where large.

One of the biggest problems with these guides, initially, was that these were free mods, and they were unable to update themselves according to the game. Once the game was updated, the players had no idea what to do since these add-ons were still running on their old databases which then had out of date data in them. This was the main reason that a lot of people starting looking for alternative leveling guides because they wanted to level up as quickly as possible, and not be held back for days by each little patch blizzard released into the game.
